AR Vectrex at Gamescom 2026: Amazing Feedback & See You in Person in 2027!

What an incredible milestone for us at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne!

Since 2020, our team at AR Vectrex has been passionately crafting homebrew games for the legendary Vectrex. While we couldn’t be there physically in Cologne this year, our games were front and center thanks to David Oghia, the creator of the Vectrex Mini, who generously represented us and showcased our latest creations right on his booth. A massive, heartfelt thank you to David for being such an amazing ambassador for our work!

The feedback from the show floor was beyond our expectations:

  • Players had an absolute blast surviving the chaos of USA Zombie Apocalypse and Japan Zombie Apocalypse.
  • The crowd was completely captivated by Dark Alien in Deep Space, our futuristic survival horror adventure game for the Vectrex console, winning over fans with its tense, atmospheric vector experience.

It was wonderful seeing photos, videos, and reports of the incredible mix of generations gathered around the screens—from veterans who played the Vectrex at its original 1982 launch, to a brand-new generation discovering the beauty of vector graphics (and the Vectrex Mini!) for the very first time.

Even though we had to follow the excitement from afar this time, one thing is certain: we will be back next year, in person! We can’t wait to be on the show floor ourselves, meet the community, chat with fellow fans, and share even more vector action.

See you all in 2027!
